OUR SAFETY GUIDELINES
Kayaking is a fantastic, easy-to-learn sport open to everyone, offering a wonderful way to connect with nature. While it can be enjoyed in any season with the right gear, safety depends heavily on weather conditions. Since our excursions take place at sea, we follow a few simple rules to ensure everyone is well-prepared and safe.
To guarantee a smooth and enjoyable experience for all, please review our safety guidelines before joining an excursion:
- Life jackets on: Your life jacket must be worn for the entire duration of the excursion. It can only be taken off once we have safely landed on shore.
- Single kayaks (Age 14+): The minimum age to paddle a single kayak is 14.
- Kids under 14: Young paddlers under 14 are warmly welcome! They must share a double kayak with a parent.
- Teens (Ages 14–18): Guests in this age group will need a signed consent form from a parent or legal guardian.
- Swimming skills: For your own comfort and safety, participants must know how to swim and feel comfortable in the water. You don't need to be an expert swimmer, but you must be able to stay afloat on your own. Tipping over can happen; it is completely safe, but staying calm is key.
- Follow your guide: Please always follow the team leader's instructions. They know the local waters best and are there to ensure a safe trip.
- Weight limit: Due to the manufacturer's structural specifications, our kayaks have a maximum weight capacity of 100 kg per person.
- Motion sickness: If you are prone to seasickness or motion sickness, please remember to take your preferred remedies (medication, wristbands, etc.) well before we set off.
- Team spirit: For everything else, we rely on good old common sense. Unforeseen situations can happen at sea, so flexibility, adaptability, and cooperation are the foundation of every great outing.
A few more quick (but equally important) tips:
- Eco-friendly paddling: During our tours, we also learn to care for the environment around us by collecting any marine litter we find and bringing it back to shore. Upon our return, we will show you how and where to properly recycle it.
- Disconnect to reconnect: We would love for you to share our vision of staying offline. To help you unplug from your daily routine and fully immerse yourself in nature, we no longer provide waterproof phone cases. Don't worry about capturing the moment—we will take photos of your experience and send them to you after the tour!
Have fun!!!
